Mindful December
For the first time in my life I have committed to have a Mindful December. How about you? What if you were mindful this December? You can start with one small step. Take time to review this year and plan for next year. Have you ever gone through your calendar, your emails, or maybe your photos to remember all that you did? You might find some stuff you don’t want to do ever again. So go ahead and unsubscribe, delete, or file away as something you’ll never do again. And then there might be one or two things that you wished you had done more. Start thinking about how you can get more of what you want.
Do you have any mindful practices - do you journal, meditate, or just sit still and concentrate on your breath? I journal, practice gratitude, and I listen to guided meditations. They ground me. I set aside time for myself every day to be quiet and go inward. Instead of wanting more and seeing a lack in your life, try being grateful for what is right in front of you. Become overwhelmed by your abundance. It will give you a warm feeling in your heart. It’s ok to make time for yourself, even if you rest or “do nothing.” Try it. You might feel better and I hope you enjoy how you feel because you took time for yourself, were grateful, and present.
Just sit and be still. You don’t need to add anything to it. It’s ok if it’s quiet or awkward or just not your style. It’s ok. Tell me what you learned from being quiet. And let me know if taking this time allowed you to finally commit to taking care of yourself, and what you really want to do. That would be time well spent. Quietude and being still with yourself can change the way you feel about yourself and your future. Send me a message or make an appointment any time. I’d love to hear all about what you learned. Love ya. xo
