Time for Some Changes

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by too many responsibilities and not enough time to get everything done, it’s time to make some changes.

Change your expectations. Many experts say it takes 21 days to form a habit. Not everyone agrees.  Some think it takes as long as 166 days. The truth is, change takes time. 

Progress is rarely linear.  Persistence and consistency pay off.  Be patient with yourself and keep your end goal in mind. 

Change the way you plan your day. Prepare for the day ahead the night before. Lay out your clothes, review your calendar, and set yourself up for a smooth start in the morning to reduce your stress.

Change how you do things. Remember to put yourself first.  Seek help when needed, whether it's hiring a babysitter, collaborating with another professional, or enlisting the guidance of a coach or a personal trainer.  When your needs are met, both you and those around you are happier.

The way to a better you begins with the decision to change. And it can’t happen overnight.  Change takes time. You need to manage your expectations.  You deserve a life you love but it’s up to you to make it happen! One way you can do that is through setting goals.
